ChronKnow Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 14, 2026
Last Updated: October 16, 2026

ChronKnow (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how ChronKnow, developed and operated by Creative Stack, LLC (DBA Cadentia Health), collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Developer Information

  • Developer: Creative Stack, LLC
  • DBA: Cadentia Health
  • Website: cadentiahealth.com
  • App: ChronKnow

2. Our Privacy Philosophy

ChronKnow is built privacy-first. We believe:

  • Your data belongs to you, not us.
  • Your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud (if you enable sync).
  • We never collect, sell, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising.
  • We collect no analytics or tracking data whatsoever.

3. Information Storage and Sync

ChronKnow stores only what you enter:

  • Check-ins: the time of each check-in and any Physical Energy, Mental Energy, Motivation, and Stress ratings you gave it.
  • Tags: which of the five built-in tags you attached to a check-in. A check-in has no note field, and nothing you type is stored with it.
  • State names: any name you give a recurring state the app finds in your ratings. This is the only text you type into ChronKnow, and naming a state is optional.
  • Preferences: your app settings, such as reminder times and app lock.

All of this is stored on your device. iCloud backup is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, your check-ins, their tags, and your state names (with the rating averages each name is attached to) are mirrored to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. Preferences are not backed up. We do not operate servers that store your data.

4. Health Data (Apple Health / HealthKit)

ChronKnow can optionally connect to Apple Health (HealthKit) to make your insights richer. Health access is never required — the app works fully without it — and you can grant, limit, or revoke it at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.

  • Reading health data (optional, read-only): If you allow it, ChronKnow reads your sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and step count to correlate them with your check-ins. These permissions are granular — you choose which, if any, to share — and ChronKnow only reads this data; it never changes or deletes it.
  • Writing to Apple Health (opt-in): If you turn it on, ChronKnow writes a State of Mind entry to Apple Health when you complete a check-in. This is off by default, requires its own separate permission, and can be disabled at any time.

All health data is processed on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, stored only in your personal iCloud account. We never receive, collect, or transmit your health data to our servers or to any third party.
